Many abandoned animals are waiting in our shelter for a warm and loving home. Behind each one is a sad story of abandonment. They all need love, a caressing touch, and a feeling that they belong. Although we do our best each day, volunteers are critical to our success.

Our animals need to be exercised, pampered, played with, snuggled, and sometimes taught how to behave around humans and other dogs. As an animal rehab volunteer, you will feed the animals, clean litter boxes, socialize the animals, take animals to appointments, and strengthen the human-animal bond.
The road to a more humane behavior towards animals depends on education. As a volunteer educator, you will educate owners on pet ownership responsibilities.
Our volunteers also spread the word about how unsterilized free puppies or kittens increase the number of homeless pets and overpopulation. Please help us and encourage someone you know to seek out low cost spay and neuter services.
