Become a GARC Volunteer!

As an animal rehab volunteer, you can make a big difference in the lives of homeless dogs and cats looking for a second chance.

We Need Your Help!

Many abandoned animals are waiting in our shelter for a warm and loving home. Behind each one is a sad story of abandonment. They all need love, a caressing touch, and a feeling that they belong. Although we do our best each day, volunteers are critical to our success.

Join us now! Every volunteer makes a difference in the lives of these animals.

Here are just a few ways you can volunteer:

Animal Rehab Volunteer

Our animals need to be exercised, pampered, played with, snuggled, and sometimes taught how to behave around humans and other dogs. As an animal rehab volunteer, you will feed the animals, clean litter boxes, socialize the animals, take animals to appointments, and strengthen the human-animal bond.

Education and Training Volunteer

The road to a more humane behavior towards animals depends on education. As a volunteer educator, you will educate owners on pet ownership responsibilities.

Our volunteers also spread the word about how unsterilized free puppies or kittens increase the number of homeless pets and overpopulation. Please help us and encourage someone you know to seek out low cost spay and neuter services.

Fundraising Volunteer

You can be a volunteer fundraiser and help save abandoned dogs and animals. There are many ways to fundraise and support GARC. You can create a Facebook fundraiser, shop at Amazon Smile, or Shop for Cause through our pet store. See other ways to fundraise on our Donate page.

If being an animal rehab volunteer gives you a warm feeling, please contact us today. We would love to share with you all the good work we are doing.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of so many abandoned and abused animals.
