The mission of Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center is to be an advocate for homeless and abandoned animals that can’t help themselves.
The center is fueled by the passion of founder Cindy Yee Kong (author of The Eyes of the Lion) who while dealing with a genetic debilitating disorder, was also abused and neglected as a child. She pulls from her own life experiences to create a special connection with suffering animals and give them a safe haven until they can find their forever homes.
Cindy battled many uphill challenges as she built an organization whose sole purpose is to be the voice for animals that have no voice. Through it all, Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center has helped hundreds of animals since its inception in November 2017.
In 2021, the generosity of donors gave 32 animals a second chance at life with 18 adoptions, 25 new arrivals, and care for 4 sanctuary animals with chronic conditions.
Grace Animal Rehab doesn’t focus on quantity but rather on quality. The animals that come to the center are typically in very bad health and there is a great deal of care that is involved before they are healthy enough to be adopted. Once they are ready GARC goes through a rigorous screening process to ensure that their new families are the best fit possible but also financially able to provide the care and love the animals need to break the cycle of homelessness.
Together with your support, we can make 2022 another great year.
