As a supporter of our cause, your generosity has made a real difference, not just for the animals in our care but for the families who adopted a pet from our shelter and gave them a loving home. Without you, we would not have been able to help these rescue animals, and we are grateful for your support.
We started GARC out of our home—but after 2018 we can no longer afford to do so. We are looking to raise money to purchase a building where we will be better equipped to help the animals in our care.
So far, we have rescued many aggressive, injured and sick animals, and found homes for them. We came into the care of a cat named Hanka, who were in critical condition. She suffered from stomatitis, which caused her to have an ulcer in her mouth. She also suffered from pneumonia in her lungs. Hanka is abandoned by her owner at just two months of age and came into our care almost a year later. She came to us as a feral but the time we have spent with her has helped us gain her trust, and she is now a loving lap cat that adores human affection.
There are many more cats and dogs that need medical care which we are unable to provide right now due to lack of funding. Our goal is to raise funds to help animals like Hanka through medical equipment, medication and an adequate facility in which to care for them.
We have over $2,000 worth of animal medical expenses to cover and this is only increasing as we accept new animals into our care. Our goal is to raise a total of $35,000 to cover animal medical expenses as well as a new building where we can effectively treat our rescues. If we do not meet our target, we will not be able to offer our services any longer—leaving helpless animals without a home.
Every animal deserves a second chance, and with your support we can give them the chance to live a better, happier life. Please donate now!
Why We Need Donations
We spend a lot of money on ensuring that all rescued pets are spayed and neutered. In addition, pets that arrive in bad condition need vet visits, medical assistance and close medical care. These treatments are very expensive.
Abandoned cats and dogs need a lot of daily care and attention. Food, shelter maintenance, personnel and operational costs put a lot of financial pressure on GARC. We can't finance and do it all by ourselves.
GARC pets shelter needs extensive public relations. We need to get in touch with people in our region about collecting abandoned pets, we need to publish the pets to find them new homes and recruit volunteers.
GARC's abandoned cats and dogs are waiting in our shelter for a warm and loving home. Behind each one of them there is a sad story of abandonment. They all need a bit of love, a caressing hand and even a loving look. Although we do our best day after day, we need your help.
All our activities are funded entirely by public donations. These donations are vital if we want to make a difference to our beloved pets. Your donation today - whatever sum you choose to donate, will shorten their suffering and increase their opportunities to find new warm and loving homes.
Please open your heart. Every $ counts!
Please donate what you can, whenever you can – money, your time or both if possible. We need as much help as we can get to give lost or abandoned pets a temporary home until responsible and loving families or people can be found. The work we are doing on a daily basis has saved the lives of countless pets. We will continue to do so, hopefully with your help.
Cats and dogs don’t ask us for a lot. Yet they give us everything they have in the form of unconditional love. The least you can do for them is help us out. Thank you for your time and attention.
GARC is non-profit organization striving to save abandoned pets and relocate them in loving homes. The more help we get, the more pets we'll save!
Dogs and cats bring light, joy and happiness in people's homes. They help seniors overcome solitariness and difficult times and they have great impact on children's lives.
