We are looking to recruit board members with experience in advocacy, financial analysis reporting, veterinary or animals care and marketing, to grow our organization and move to the next stage of our vision.
Grace Animal Rehab Center is a foster based rescue that takes in abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs and cats. Our mission is to protect and relocate abandoned and homeless pets, giving them a second chance at life, while advocating for animal rights. In order to fulfill our mission most effectively, efficiently, and exhaustively our long term vision is to obtain a brick and mortar building to house a sanctuary for cats and dogs that have terminal illness or behavioral problems, to adopt out those animals that are adoptable, to have a low cost spay/neuter clinic in Creek County, and to work with ASPCA legislative branch to advocate for policies that are more favorable toward animals.
We continue to grow our partnership with ASPCA that day we obtain our brick and mortar location and qualify to apply for an anti-cruelty grant. Once grantee and grantor relationship is established, we hope to be invited to apply for a Spay/Neuter Alliance grant.
Like most nonprofit boards, our members will take an active role in things like public relations, governance, and fundraising. They will also serve as ambassadors in the community to help educate people on the proper care and treatment of animals.
Saving one dog will not change the world. But surely for that one dog, the world will change forever!
If this type of work stirs your soul, please call or text 918-264-8744. I’d love to share with you all the good work we are doing. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of so many abandoned and abused animals.
